What’s Tweeting? @JacksonsBeard – Scott Jacksons Beard Is Now On Twitter

By Ken Peacock

I have not heard about Scott Jackson being on Twitter, but evidently his beard has a mind of its own and has recently joined the Twitter world. If you have not had the chance to see Scott’s beard up close then you don’t know what you are missing. I had a chance to get a look while shooting some pictures down by the ice at the last game. I truly believe you could have hidden the entire St. John’s IceCaps team in the beard. The beard has been working for Jackson as the team has been tearing up the AHL with the 21 game win streak.

The Beard itself has been active over the last few days taking shots at a few Admiral players unable to grow such a manly beard (Conacher and Johnson perhaps?). It has also thrown out some compliments to J.P. Cote, former Admiral James Wright, and Peggy from USA Prime Credit (Hold Please). The Twitter account has more than doubled in size over recent days and continue’s to grow as we speak. Take a look for yourself and learn more about the Beard. You can follow the beard by going to @JacksonsBeard. Don’t #FearTheBeard ….. Ask it some questions and you will get a response. Be kind though and don’t mention anything about razors, clippers, or shaving cream. Remember……The Beard has feelings as well…….

I'm not the average hockey nut. It took a bit to grow, but when it did it was like a drug flowing in my veins. I am a season ticket holder of the Norfolk Admirals, longtime supporter of the Washington Capitals, and part time supporter of the Anaheim Ducks (It's hard, but it can be done). My blog is a result of the lack of good sources of Admirals information and happenings. Our paper provides very weak coverage and there is only so much the Admirals themselves can do. There are not to many blogs that cover the Admirals, and when they do it is just rehashed information from the club, the AHL. Nine times out of ten the blogger doesn't even live in the area or go to the games. So what do I want to do? Hmm...good question. I would use this as an outlet for getting out information about the Admirals. Not necessarily the information provided by official channels, but news and information from a fans point of view. Hopefully this is something I can accomplish. I am open to criticism, comments, contributions of infomation for the site. Thank You and Welcome......
